I am serving in a new position established in 2007 to create and strengthen Curry's partnerships. These partnerships include international and global initiatives, collaborations with our neighboring school divisions, work focused in Southwest Virginia, and programs with other schools at the University such as the Darden-Curry Partnership for Leaders in Education.

Research Interests
My background experiences and scholarship focus on two areas. First, in special education, I teach an online course on Behavioral & Emotional Disorders in which I emphasize cognitive strategies to assist students' learning. The second area is the applcation of knowledge to solve real-world problems in service learning courses, academic outreach, community-based research, and other types of university engagement with public issues.
