The Curry School of Education offers undergraduate programs in three areas:

1. Communication Disorders

Students interested in the BSEd program in communication disorders must apply for admission to Curry by March 1 of their second year in the College. Applications are available online. (Transfer students from outside the University apply to the College of Arts and Sciences, noting an interest in communication disorders on their application.) Those accepted earn a BSEd. degree; they typically go on to pursue a master's degree, focusing on one of three career paths in Communication Sciences and Disorders: (1) audiology; (2) speech-language pathology; or (3) speech and hearing science. 2. Kinesiology

Students interested in the BSEd program in kinesiology must apply for admission to Curry by March 1 of their second year in the College. Applications are available online. (Transfer students from outside the University apply to the College of Arts and Sciences, noting an interest in kinesiology on their application.) Those accepted earn a BSEd degree; they typically go on to pursue advanced study in areas such as athletic training, medicine, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and exercise physiology. 3. Five-Year Teacher Education Program

Undergraduates who are enrolled in the College who have completed one year of coursework and taken EDIS 2010 (Teaching as a Profession) and EDIS 2880 (Field Experience) are eligible to apply for Permission to Enroll in the BAMT program.  Applications are due by March 1 of a student's second year of enrollment at the University.

Transfer students from outside the University must apply for admission to Arts and Sciences and the Curry School of Education through the Undergraduate Office of Admission in Peabody Hall. Applicants should specify interest in one of the following:

a) early childhood special education,

b) elementary education,

c) secondary education (math, science, foreign language, social studies, English) , or the

d) special education and general education program which allows students to focus in special education and one of the following: elementary, ESL, English, foreign language, or science.
