TEMPO is offering these online Graduate level Reading courses in the Spring of 2010:
• Registration Dates: December 1 - January 15, 2010 • Classes Begin January 25th and end May 3rd, 2010 • NCED 117 Book Buddies Training Workshop (Online) Description: This course is a workshop providing training for implementing and managing the community-based, one-on-one tutoring program known as Book Buddies. The content for this course was developed through reading research at the • Course moderator: Donna Lewis-Wagner, M.Ed. • Non-credit workshop • Dates: October 12 - November 30 • Tuition: $400.00/person • Links for enrollment in the Book Buddies Workshop will open on Monday, September 21.
• Meeting the Needs of Schools: Making Better Reading Instruction Happen (Tiers I, II, and III) The TEMPO Reading Outreach office is currently working with school districts on their efforts to make children's reading instruction better. On a contract basis, we can work with you on the challenges of meeting AYP, supporting instruction in Title I schools, differentiating instruction to reflect PALS assessments and Response to Intervention, and more.
