Undergraduate Degree Programs
1. Communication Disorders
Students interested in BSEd program in communication disorders must apply for admission to Curry by March 1 of their second year in the College. Applications are available online. (Transfer students from outside the University apply to the College of Arts and Sciences, noting an interest in communication disorders on their application.) Those accepted earn a B.S.Ed. degree; they typically go on to pursue a master's degree, focusing on one of three career paths in Communication Sciences and Disorders: (1) audiology; (2) speech-language pathology; or (3) speech and hearing science. 2. Kinesiology
Students interested in the BSEd program in kinesiology must apply for admission to Curry by March 1 of their second year in the College. Applications are available online. (Transfer students from outside the University apply to the College of Arts and Sciences, noting an interest in kinesiology on their application.) Those accepted earn a BSEd degree; they typically go on to pursue advanced study in areas such as athletic training, medicine, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and exercise physiology. 3. Five-Year Teacher Education Program
Undergraduates enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences who apply to the five-year BA/MT program must complete the Permission to Enroll form by March 1 of their first or second year in the College. (Those interested in high-need areas of special education, math, science, or foreign language may apply as late as their third year in the College.)
Transfer students from outside the University must apply to the Undergraduate Office, Peabody Hall, noting an interest in one of the following teaching areas: elementary education, special education, health and physical education, secondary education (math, science, foreign language, social studies, English).
